Focus on the Needs of Others

Your significance in life is decided by how much of yourself you pour out to help those in trouble. The worth of your reward is determined by the magnitude of the problems you solve for others. You are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God predetermined before you were born (Ephesians 2:10).

You are a divine agent for change. Refuse to be so immersed in your own challenges that you miss the opportunity to become the difference between life and death to someone sinking. The self-absorbed rarely spots someone drowning.

Cast your personal burdens upon Lord, and then scan your environment constantly for those who need the love of God that you carry. Become a solution to someone’s tragedy. When you focus on the needs of others, God focuses on your own needs.

“And if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall your light rise in obscurity, and your darkness be as the noon day: And the LORD shall guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat your bones: and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” Isaiah 58:10-11
