“Love Is the Incorruptible Seed That Produces Uncommon Harvests in Every Environment”

In Scriptures, love is demonstrated as more than affections or feelings; it is an intense passion to obey divine instructions, with an unquenchable desire to know more and more of God’s will, for the purpose of loving others the very way God loves us (1 John 2:3-6).

Love is the essence of God. He is Love. Hence, living and walking in the love of God is something so profound that a natural mind finds it impossible to comprehend. The bible says that, “…God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him (1 John 4:16). In other words, if we live a life of the love of God, we basically dwell in God. If the love of God lives in our hearts, God Himself dwells within us, fulfilling His will in us and in the lives of others around us.

This is awesome! Can you imagine yourself carrying on the inside of you God Almighty as you go about your daily business? That is exactly the way it is! And that is why it becomes impossible not to produce uncommon harvests when living and walking in the love of God. You enter into God and God into you when you walk in love.

Scriptural love is simply invitation into the very nature and character of God. It is the highest and most perfect kind of love there is. For this reason, it takes a regenerated heart to qualify for it (1 John 4:7), the perfectness of the Holy Spirit to deliver it (Romans 5:5) and a divine revelation to fully comprehend its magnitude (Ephesians 3:17-19).

Unless you are born-again, you remain incompatible for this unmatched gift of divine love. This love is a fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22), meaning that without you being saved from sins and full of the Spirit of God, it is impossible to possess it. But once you are regenerated through the blood of Jesus Christ, you have the totality of God (love) within you. You are now fully loaded with incorruptible seeds of the love of God.

These seeds of love in you are heavenly, so that when sown, regardless of the ferociousness of the evil ones or the unfriendliness of the soil, they never decay, become perverted or fail in their integrity to liberate souls. The love of God demonstrated to others, though its impact might not be felt immediately, will surely germinate and produce good fruits.

It is this amazing love of God in your heart, as a believer, that births in you a hatred for evil and a passion for Truth. It is this love of God that makes you see another person as God sees him. It makes you love others regardless of what they do or do not do. It is also this love of God that empowers you to value others as God values them. It is this astonishing love of God that makes you not to see others as they presently are (sinful, weak, arrogant, unfriendly, dishonest, etc.), but to see them as God sees their future in the Light of His Word.

This love is patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, is not proud, not self-seeking, not easily angered and keeps no records of wrong (1Corintians 13:4-7). When these amazing seeds of love are rooted in your heart and then diffuse into others, regardless of the environment, they will produce exceptional harvests. Little wonder many believers have testified to be products of the love of God shown to them by others when they least deserved it. Therefore never underestimate the potential harvests of the love you show to others.

Love is the essence of Life. If you can master love, you have mastered life. Love is the only thing God requires from man (Mark 12:33). Also, love is the totality of the law condensed (Gal 5:14; Romans 13:10). Love is obedience to the word of God, which is the only duty of man on the earth (John 14:15; Ecclesiastes 12:13; John 13:34).

On a personal basis, if you prioritise the love of God – upward (toward God) and horizontal (towards others) – you will set in motion in your own life unprecedented divine favour (Hebrews 6:10). Love is a seed for divine favour and human favour.

When your love for God begin to overflow into others around you, regardless of where you are, the abundant harvests of God’s power and grace become inevitable.  Where you are is not as important as what you are.  If your whole being has been transformed and decorated with the love of God, you will shine like the stars, even when in the thickest darkness. Be blessed as you live and walk in His love.

Remain a blessing,

Wale
