My Commentary on the Extraordinary Effects of Divine Laws

The entire Gospel focuses on two important parts; King Jesus and His Kingdom. One is the Person of Jesus and the other is His principles. One is the Life of God within you and the other is the Laws of God around you. Your acceptance of King Jesus guarantees your eternity. But it is your reactions to His kingdom principles that ensure your earthly fulfilment.

The Person of Jesus creates your salvation, but it is your obedience to His commandments (Laws) that decides your earthy freedom, prosperity, influence and productivity. You can be ready for heaven but cannot pay your rent, simply because giving your heart to Jesus does not guarantee you money. Knowing Jesus has nothing to do with your financial prosperity. That is why we have born-again and tongues speaking children of God who are extremely poor and people who hates the Gospel who are wealthy. Why? Every product has a different function. Knowing Jesus was designed to qualify you for Heaven, but it is knowing and obeying divine laws that decide your earthly resources.

Every divine law has a different deposit. Just like you observed a Divine Law of Salvation (Romans 10:9) when you become born-again, you will have to discover and obey appropriate Laws of God regarding your sound health, healing, deliverance, favour, financial blessings, spiritual maturity, forgiveness and so on. it is your responsibility to identify, in the Scriptures, the law (word) that is relevant to your situation, then obey it, incubate its revelation, and continue to confess it until you see the manifestation.

Remember that the Laws of God are simply the Words of God. Whenever God speaks, His words become laws. This is because God never starts anything that He has not already been finished. Whenever God releases His words, they are simply to bring into physical manifestation what has already been supernaturally concluded. The flawlessness of God’s integrity is incomparable. He never says what He does mean and there is no weakness or mistakes in His thoughts. Whatever He declares remains established (Psalm 33:9). Therefore His words already contain everything you need to be greatly blessed here on earth; they are merely awaiting your recognition and obedience.

Now, The bible says “Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, Who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness endures forever” (Psalm 112:1-3). Notice what it says, “… the man who fears the Lord, who DELIGHTS greatly in His COMMANDMENTS.” It then says “Wealth and riches will be in his house…” meaning that divine provisions are hidden in your obedience to God’s instructions.

Everything in the Kingdom has a different purpose and reward. For example, worship is good and has its powerful place regarding our relationship with God, but it will not produce what obedience to the Laws of God will produce. You cannot use worship as a substitute for obedience. Remember, King Saul got it all mixed up. God demanded his full obedience, but he ended up disobeying God because he esteemed sacrifice (worship) more highly than obedience (1 Samuel 15:22).

That is why is not uncommon to see born-again Christians who are in bondage of the devil, unproductive and powerless. Such believers’ eternity might be secure by accepting the Person of Jesus as their saviour, but it is up to them to discover and activate Jesus’ principles (The Word of God) to orchestrate their freedom (Galatians 5:1)

Jesus departed from the earth on completion of His assignment, but God ensured that His book (the bible) remains with us for our strengthening, edification, freedom and sanctification. God knew that His laws have a unique assignment to accomplish here on earth. You only need to accept Jesus to qualify for heaven, just as the thief on the cross at Calvary did when he cried to Jesus. He did not have to have a degree in theology in order to enter Paradise. He only had to accept Jesus as his Saviour. But if you are still among living on the earth, you will need to know the laws of God.

The entire universe is run by divine laws. Therefore, your victories and fulfilment on earth, as a believer, will be decided by your reactions to the divine laws. Hosea 4:6 says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Notice, God said “my people.” In other words, the people God was referring to were His people.  They knew Him and possibly had some kind of relationship with Him. But the tragedy was they lacked the knowledge of His Laws. Thus, they were destroyed, not by God, but by their ignorance of God’s Words.  Their relationship with God could not save them from being cut off from the earth. But what would have preserved them from earthly destruction was the Laws of God, which they sadly never had the knowledge of. They possibly made heaven, but never lived long enough to accomplish the purpose for which they were created.

In the same manner, many believers never prioritise the word of God. Once they get saved, they stop growing in the knowledge of the truth and wonder why the fullness of the power of God is not available to them. They find themselves unable to overcome the sins that used to enslave them before they became born-again. They crave and are attracted to the lusts the world is attracted to. They are regenerated spirits with perverse minds. They have not obeyed the law of God that says we should continue to renew our minds in order to prove what is that good, perfect and acceptable will of God ( Romans 12:2). They fail to understand that the only road to spiritual maturity is the continuous renewal of the mind.

Until you know and obey the truths of the word of God, oppression is inevitable. The devil always capitalises on the ignorance of the people of God to enslave them. That is why Jesus gave us a divine law of freedom in John 8:31-32. “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.  And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Notice that Jesus was addressing those who had already believed Him. In other words, if you want to be free and victorious on the earth, you will have to do more believing and move into the realm of knowing and obeying the truth.

God has expectations. That is why He left His instructions with us. The bible clearly defines God’s instructions for His children and the rewards that are impacted if obeyed. Your fulfilment in life will always be proportionate to your reactions to the instructions of God. Jesus’ last words to His disciples were instructions (Matthew 28:19-20), showing us how seriously God wanted to see His words obeyed. Jesus knew that if the disciples were to fulfil the purpose of God for lives on the earth and live victoriously in every capacity, they would have to prioritise obedience to divine instructions.

How is your attitude toward the Word of God? Do you have a passion for the knowledge of God? Are you prioritising obedience? Everything (instructions) you will ever need for life and Godliness is in the word of God (2 Peter 1:3-4). You just have to find them and obey them. Dig deep into the Scriptures. Study to show yourself approve (2 Timothy 2:15). As you do, your life will never remain the same.

“I have restrained my feet from every evil way, That I may keep Your word.  I have not departed from Your judgments, For You Yourself have taught me. How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way.  Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.  I have sworn and confirmed That I will keep Your righteous judgments. Psalm 119:101-106

 Bless you
